Future is Now Coalition

Online Community Manager/Director

About FiNC

At the Future is Now Coalition (FiNC), we’re leading a movement to fundamentally upgrade democracy. Our mission is to restore true citizen representation, level the playing field for grassroots and other alternative candidates (like third parties), and make politics accessible and digestible for everyday Americans.

We’re building a meta-movement—a movement of movements uniting those who recognize that the system itself is broken and are ready to fix it at the root. We’re not fighting within a rigged system—we’re replacing it with something better. Our approach is nonpartisan, solutions-driven, and designed for long-term impact.

At the heart of our mission is a shift in perspective we call “Seeing in DP” (Digital Politics). It’s a mindset—a lens that helps people see beyond the surface of partisan narratives and clearly identify the root causes of political dysfunction. It’s not about changing what people believe—it’s about helping them understand how power really works, so they can act with clarity, not confusion. When you see politics in DP, you stop reacting to sides and start spotting the systems behind them.

FiNC is also being built as something akin to a nonprofit cooperative—where team members aren’t just employees, but partners. Everyone plays a meaningful role in shaping the mission, the strategy, and the organization itself as we grow.

If you’re ready to be part of something bigger than politics as usual, join us. The future is now.

IMPORTANT: This involves DELAYED COMPENSATION – Please read carefully

To maintain our independence and avoid conflicts of interest, we are not accepting investors or financing that comes with strings attached. Instead, we are Crowd-Starting FiNC—building it together from the ground up.

We’re asking team members to contribute 15-20 hours per week during this phase, with all time tracked and paid retroactively once we become fully operational.

This model only works if you see it as a short-term investment for long-term rewards. Everyone who joins is a partner, receiving an ownership stake in FiNC. Our structure is similar to a Nonprofit Cooperative, moving beyond the traditional “employee vs employer” dynamic into something more collaborative and forward-thinking.

Please only apply if you’re open to this unique opportunity and ready to be part of something truly transformative.

Job Description

We are looking for an Online Community Manager (possibly Director-Level) who can be the connective tissue between FiNC and the broader digital world. Your focus will be on engaging political stakeholders via social media—from independent journalists and content creators to long-term movement partners.

This role sits at the intersection of influencer outreach, citizen engagement, and strategic relationship-building. You will help us grow our presence by identifying aligned individuals and organizations, building real relationships, and opening doors for cross-promotion, collaborations, and strategic exposure.

You’ll be navigating platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Bluesky, and Discord, identifying people and communities who resonate with our message, and helping them discover (and share) our content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Building (Social-First): Identify, reach out to, and cultivate relationships with independent media figures, social media influencers, and aligned digital creators. Help facilitate content shares, guest appearances, and collabs.

  • Social Engagement: Post thoughtful comments, respond to DMs, engage in relevant threads and social groups, helping FiNC show up where the conversations are happening.

  • Audience Expansion: Work to expand our reach beyond our current followers by building connections outside our owned channels, especially with political voices who share our values.

  • Platform Navigation: Monitor trends and cultural moments across platforms like TikTok, Bluesky, and Instagram to engage in timely and relevant ways.

  • Citizen Response: Engage with citizens in our comments and DMs with empathy and clarity, supporting conversations that help people understand and connect with FiNC.

  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing and Outreach to align relationship-building with content and campaign goals.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in community engagement, influencer marketing, digital outreach, or similar roles

  • Deep understanding of how to build relationships and visibility on social media

  • Familiarity with navigating activist circles, online political communities, and social media micro-influencers a plus

  • Strong written communication skills—especially for public-facing conversation

  • Able to work autonomously and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment

  • Passion for citizen empowerment and political transformation; excited by FiNC’s mission and eager to help people discover it
