About FiNC

At the Future is Now Coalition (FiNC), we’re building a citizen-owned alternative political system—one designed to fundamentally upgrade democracy by putting power back where it belongs: in the hands of the people. Our mission is to restore true citizen representation, level the playing field for grassroots candidates (including independents and third parties), and make politics both accessible and actionable for everyday Americans.

We call this approach the Meta-Movement—a movement of movements uniting those who recognize that the system isn’t just broken; it’s rigged. Instead of fighting inside a rigged game, we’re building something new: transparent, accountable, and truly representative. Our strategy is nonpartisan, solutions-driven, and designed for lasting impact.

At the heart of this work is a mindset shift we call “Seeing in DP” (Digital Politics). DP is a lens that cuts through partisan narratives and reveals how power actually operates—who pulls the strings, how narratives are shaped, and why citizens are left with false choices. It’s not about changing what people believe; it’s about giving them clarity to vote their values and transform the system itself. When you see in DP, you stop choosing sides and start building something better.

FiNC is structured as a cooperative-style nonprofit, where team members aren’t just employees, they’re partners and co-architects. Everyone plays an active role in shaping our mission, strategy, and growth. We’re not building this for people. We’re building it with them. You’re not the audience—you’re the architect.

If you’re ready to help create something beyond politics as usual—and to join a team designing the future of democracy itself—we invite you to step in. The future is now.

IMPORTANT: This involves DELAYED COMPENSATION – Please read carefully

To maintain our independence and avoid conflicts of interest, we are not accepting investors or financing that comes with strings attached. Instead, we are Crowd-Starting FiNC—building it together from the ground up.

We’re asking team members to contribute 15-20 hours per week during this phase, with all time tracked and paid retroactively once we become fully operational.

This model only works if you see it as a short-term investment for long-term rewards. Everyone who joins is a partner, receiving an ownership stake in FiNC. Our structure is similar to a Nonprofit Cooperative, moving beyond the traditional “employee vs employer” dynamic into something more collaborative and forward-thinking.

Please only apply if you’re open to this unique opportunity and ready to be part of something truly transformative.

Culture and Employment

A New Kind of Organization for a New Kind of Democracy

  • Neurodiversity and diversity-of-thought are strengths—not obstacles.
  • Servant leadership, dynamic team structures, and shared ownership.
  • Purpose over profits, value over hours, and respect for work-life balance.
  • We reward authenticity, passion, and commitment—not conformity.
  • We support individual weaknesses to enhance collective strengths.
  • Continuous role assessments, long-term growth opportunities, and real career sustainability.

From your first 2-way interview, you will see (and feel) how radically different we are.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a motion designer with a strong artistic foundation to help bring FiNC’s voice to life visually. This role centers on designing and animating our first-ever collective avatar—a character that represents the voice of the meta-movement rather than any single leader.

This avatar will be the face of our content across social platforms, delivering key messages, training citizens, and evolving into a family of characters as our work grows. The right candidate will be equal parts visual storyteller and motion designer—someone who can translate complex ideas into simple, striking visuals that feel human, accessible, and inspiring.

This avatar will:

  • Deliver messages across social platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram)
  • Mirror team members for real-time communication and engagement
  • Evolve into a “family” of avatars for trainings, explainers, and citizen-facing campaigns

We’re seeking someone who approaches animation as an artist first—a designer who understands composition, character, and storytelling, not just transitions and templates. Animation experience is key, but we value conceptual creativity and style over hyper-technical complexity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help conceptualize and design FiNC’s primary avatar (visual identity, personality, emotional tone)
  • Create simple but high-impact animations for social media, educational content, and campaign explainers
  • Collaborate with leadership and storytellers to translate abstract, systemic ideas into digestible, visually compelling narratives
  • Evolve the avatar family over time as projects expand (e.g., additional characters for citizen engagement, movement storytelling)
  • Contribute to FiNC’s broader visual storytelling strategy (motion graphics for infographics, Meta-Movement visuals, etc.)

Who We’re Looking For

  • Art-first motion designer: Strong background in graphic design, illustration, or character-driven visuals
  • Conceptual storyteller: Ability to turn abstract ideas into simple, emotionally resonant animations
  • Clean and simple motion: Skilled in 2D animation (After Effects or similar) — 3D a plus, but not required
  • Collaborative architect: Excited to co-create with a mission-driven team and shape the visual language of a movement
  • Mission alignment: Resonates with FiNC’s vision to empower citizens, bypass gatekeepers, and build a new political system

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with character animation or rigging
  • Familiarity with avatar mirroring or simple motion capture techniques
  • Comfort designing social media-first content (short-form storytelling)
  • Interest in political/civic storytelling or movement-based design

Why This Role Matters

Our mission is deeply conceptual—and the right visuals can unlock understanding for millions. As part of our Art Team, you’ll help translate systemic reform into something human, relatable, and emotionally compelling. Your work won’t just live online; it will help people see politics differently, vote differently, and ultimately build the next era of democracy together.

This is a short-term investment for long-term impact—a chance to help architect something historic from day one.
