About FiNC
We’re upgrading how America chooses its leaders.
Right now, big money and party gatekeepers control who’s “electable” before you ever see a ballot. Good candidates exist everywhere: teachers, veterans, small business owners, community leaders who genuinely want to represent you. But the system is designed to keep them invisible.
FiNC is building the bridge between citizens and the candidates they never get to see. Think of us as a matchmaker for democracy: we learn what citizens care about, we surface candidates who are committed to representing real people, and we give both sides a space to connect directly, without gatekeepers deciding who you get to choose from.
Phase 1 is happening now. The Digital Politics Hub is where citizens share their priorities, discover candidates the system hides from them, and plug into a growing network of movements, journalists, and leaders building outside the two-party box. We’re building people-power, proving demand, and earning the trust to launch what comes next.
Phase 2 is the endgame: Digital Democracy. A citizen-owned system with Politician Report Cards, candidate matchmaking tools, and a level playing field where the best leaders rise, not just the best-funded ones.
This is how we take democracy back: by building new infrastructure where better choices are actually possible.
Our structure matters. FiNC is building something akin to a cooperative-style nonprofit where team members aren’t just employees; they’re partners and co-architects in a mission to rebuild democracy.
If you’re ready to help design the civic infrastructure America never got, and to build with citizens, not gatekeepers, we invite you to step in.
IMPORTANT: This involves DELAYED COMPENSATION – Please read carefully
To maintain our independence and avoid conflicts of interest, we are not accepting investors or financing that comes with strings attached. Instead, we are Crowd-Starting FiNC—building it together from the ground up.
We’re asking team members to contribute 15-20 hours per week during this phase, with all time tracked and paid retroactively once we become fully operational.
This model only works if you see it as a short-term investment for long-term rewards. Everyone who joins is a partner, receiving an ownership stake in FiNC. Our structure is similar to a Nonprofit Cooperative, moving beyond the traditional “employee vs employer” dynamic into something more collaborative and forward-thinking.
Please only apply if you’re open to this unique opportunity and ready to be part of something truly transformative.

Job Description
We’re looking for 1–2 visual-first, mission-driven graphic designers to help grow our social media presence across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube under the guidance of our Marketing Director.
This is a great fit if you’re a designer (or aspiring designer) who wants your work to mean something, and you’ve got a natural eye for what makes people stop scrolling.
What You’ll Do
Design content that gets attention: social media graphics, carousels, slideshows, story templates, and branded visuals that look sharp and feel human. You’re making the first impression for a movement, and it needs to stand out.
Keep things visually consistent: work within our brand guidelines (we have established color palettes, fonts, and logos) to create templates and layouts that keep everything looking cohesive across platforms.
Turn ideas into shareable assets: take messaging, talking points, and finalized text outlines from the team and transform them into polished, scroll-stopping graphics. Carousels, quote cards, infographics, event promos: you make the words visual.
Stay plugged in: pay attention to what’s working visually on social media right now. Bring references, spot trends worth testing, and flag design opportunities the team should jump on.
Work with the team: coordinate with our Marketing Director, copywriters, and content strategists to turn concepts into finished posts that match our tone and mission. You’re the person who makes everything look the way it should.
You’re a Great Fit If You…
- Have a good eye for design. You notice when something looks off, and you care about things like color, layout, and typography, even if you’re still developing your skills.
- Are comfortable in Canva (this is our primary design tool) and can create clean, professional-looking social graphics, carousels, and templates.
- Can follow brand guidelines and keep a consistent look across posts without things drifting off-brand.
- Pay attention to visual culture on social media and have a sense for what actually performs in a feed vs. what just looks nice in a vacuum.
- Are organized enough to handle multiple platforms and deadlines without dropping threads.
- Are excited by the idea of helping citizens see politics differently, and want your design work to support something bigger than likes and follows.
Bonus Points If You…
- Have any experience with basic video editing (cutting clips, adding text overlays, assembling short-form video for Reels/TikTok). You don’t need to be a video editor; even casual experience counts.
- Have used tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or Descript, even for personal or school projects.
- Have played around with motion graphics or animated elements for social content.
- Have a portfolio, class projects, or even a personal Instagram/TikTok that shows your visual style. We care way more about taste and potential than years of professional experience.
