About FiNC

At FiNC, we streamline democracy—so you can vote for you. Think of FiNC as your civic utility: we plug people, journalists, and candidates into one place so everyone can see the same clear picture and help co-build what comes next.

Today, money and spin shape who gets seen and who wins. Most people feel stuck choosing the “lesser evil.” We focus on fixing how we choose leaders, not just how we argue about issues.

We use Digital Politics (DP) as a shared lens to judge leaders Up vs Down—power-first or people-first—so citizens can spot rigged patterns and vote with clarity.

The Digital Politics Hub is the coordination space to co-build Digital Democracy (DD): a future, citizen-owned shared stage where every candidate can be seen, every citizen can be heard, and choices are easy to compare. One fair system. Better choices, better outcomes.

FiNC is building a cooperative-style nonprofit where team members aren’t just employees—they’re partners and co-architects in a citizen-first mission. If you’re ready to help design the future home for America’s politics—and to build with people, not gatekeepers—we invite you to step in.

IMPORTANT: This involves DELAYED COMPENSATION – Please read carefully

To maintain our independence and avoid conflicts of interest, we are not accepting investors or financing that comes with strings attached. Instead, we are Crowd-Starting FiNC—building it together from the ground up.

We’re asking team members to contribute 15-20 hours per week during this phase, with all time tracked and paid retroactively once we become fully operational.

This model only works if you see it as a short-term investment for long-term rewards. Everyone who joins is a partner, receiving an ownership stake in FiNC. Our structure is similar to a Nonprofit Cooperative, moving beyond the traditional “employee vs employer” dynamic into something more collaborative and forward-thinking.

Please only apply if you’re open to this unique opportunity and ready to be part of something truly transformative.

Job Description

We’re looking for a creative, mission-driven Social Media & Content Outreach lead to help grow FiNC’s digital presence under the guidance of our Marketing Director.

This role is less about reinventing everything from scratch and more about supporting and evolving our current social media strategy—with a strong focus on promoting video content: our podcasts, video clips, and guest appearances across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.

You’ll help make sure every strong piece of content we create actually gets seen: cut into the right clips, paired with the right captions, and pushed into the right channels. You’ll work closely with our podcast team, graphic designers, and copywriters to bring our content to life—and you’ll also spend some time engaging directly with citizens in the comments.

Bonus if you’re comfortable doing light editing using AI-powered tools (like Opus, Descript, or similar), but you don’t need to be a professional editor.

What You’ll Do

  • Support and evolve our social media strategy
Help execute our current playbook and suggest simple improvements based on what you see working in the feeds.

  • Promote video content across channels
Turn podcast episodes, video clips, and guest appearances into posts that travel—reels, shorts, carousels, and threads.

  • Assist with light video editing (bonus)
Use tools like Opus, Descript, or similar to pull clips, add captions, and prep content for different platforms (we don’t expect studio-level editing).

  • Work with our creative team
Coordinate with graphic designers and copywriters to turn ideas into finished posts, making sure visuals and copy match the mission and tone.

  • Support content planning and calendars
Help keep our content calendar organized, track what’s going live when, and make sure key moments (episodes, launches, guest spots) are promoted.

  • Engage with citizens in the comments
Like, reply, and lightly moderate comments in a calm, nonpartisan, people-first voice—escalating deeper questions or issues to the right teammates.

  • Stay plugged into platform trends
Keep an eye on what’s working on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook, and bring simple ideas we can test without chasing every trend.

You’re a Great Fit If You…

  • Have 1–3+ years of experience creating or managing content for social media (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or Facebook experience preferred).

  • Are comfortable working with video content—even if you’re not a pro editor—and open to using AI editing tools like Opus, Descript, or similar.

  • Are naturally tuned into online culture, trends, and memes, and can tell what’s signal vs noise.

  • Can work well with designers and copywriters, giving and taking clear feedback to get content out the door.

  • Are organized enough to handle calendars, deadlines, and multiple platforms without dropping threads.

  • Are excited by the idea of helping citizens see politics differently—and want your work to support something bigger than clout.

This role puts you close to the front lines of how people experience FiNC online: your work will help more citizens discover our podcasts, see our ideas, and join the mission.
